The Beautiful Indonesia Miniature Park (Taman Mini Indonesia Indah abbreviated TMII) is one of the most favourite tourist destinations in Jakarta.

Built on 150 hectares of land, TMII is a unique culture based theme park where you can explore different cultures from all parts of Indonesia in a single day.

Don't miss the chance of visiting TMII when you are in Jakarta. In 1997 Indonesia comprises 33 provinces, and at TMII theme park, each of the 33 provinces is represented by different pavilion with their unique rumah adat (traditioanal house architecture), seni tari/tarian (dancing art), baju adat (traditional clothing), dialects, and their own unique traditions.

Built around the lake which is The Miniature of Indonesia Archipelago, pavilions are thematically divided into following six zones :

  1. Jawa (Java)
  2. Sumatera
  3. Kalimantan
  4. Sulawesi
  5. Bali & Nusa Tenggara
  6. Maluku & Papua

Indonesia comprises more than thirteen thousand islands. Almost every tribe inhabiting the Indonesian Islands has their own traditional house architecture different from others. Not seldom even one tribe has more than one traditional house architecture for different environmental and cultural backgrounds. All these are represented at this TMII theme park located in East Jakarta.

At TMII complex you will also find various religious buildings which are Mosque, Catholic Church, Protestant Church, Hindu Temple, and Buddhist Temple.

Kereta Gantung (Cable Cars) is among the popular facilities provided by this theme park for children. While those who like seeing birds or fishes or reptiles or flower gardens, swan paddling, boat riding, swimming or even fishing you can explore respective places which are of your interest all inside the TMII recreational theme park complex. If you like, you can rent a bicycle for your convenience.
